The Geneva Conservatory of Music is a unique program designed to provide musically and developmentally appropriate education for students through the age of 18 in an environment in which every student learns to play music well and to share it freely with others. We work in conjunction with The Geneva School of Manhattan in an atmosphere that fosters God-given creativity and a genuine love of music and offers social settings which reinforce values such as excellence, communication, creativity, responsibility, friendship and service.
We offer instruction in violin, viola, cello, piano, clarinet, trumpet, voice, early childhood and chamber music programs. All private lessons include group classes in theory and musicianship, using the accredited National Music Certificate Program curriculum.
The Advanced Conservatory Program exists for those who have studied their instruments for a minimum of five years and are pursuing music more seriously or applying to music schools for college. This program offers all the values and benefits of The Geneva Conservatory in instruction on an advanced level. Students are given appropriate-length private lessons and are placed in chamber music ensembles commensurate with their playing levels. Advanced Masterclasses from visiting artists
and Advanced Musicianship Classes are also offered.
Students perform on a regular basis in both solo and chamber music settings in professional venues and outreach events as an integral part of this program. Interviews and auditions are held to determine acceptance to the program and placement level in chamber ensembles.
Both conservatory programs are committed to equipping young musicians for service and outreach to communities who are underexposed to live classical music performances.
